School Connect Program
The School-Connect Program of the AICTE IDEA Lab, Tulsiramji Gaikwad-Patil College of Engineering & Technology (TGPCET), Nagpur, aims to inspire young minds by creating awareness about emerging technologies and their role in addressing real-world socio-economic challenges. The program introduces school students to the culture of innovation, creativity, design thinking, and hands-on learning at an early stage.
As part of this initiative, the IDEA Lab organises a One-Day Awareness Workshop for school students, providing them with an opportunity to explore state-of-the-art technologies and understand their practical applications.
The School-Connect Program reflects TGPCET's commitment to nurturing innovation, scientific temper, and technological curiosity among young learners, empowering them to become the innovators and problem-solvers of tomorrow.
Program Objectives
To create awareness among school students about the vision, objectives, and state-of-the-art facilities of the AICTE IDEA Lab.
To promote innovation, creativity, design thinking, and hands-on learning from an early stage among young minds.
To expose students to emerging technologies (such as 3D printing, IoT, robotics, and CNC machining) and their practical applications.

3 - Day Ideation Workshop
3 Days of Intensive Ideation
From Real-World Problem Statements to Physical Prototypes
Program Objectives
Ideation is the first step towards innovation. Students start learning how to proceed on the path of innovation with great ideas.
The problem statements are given by industry personnel, hand-picked from real-life projects that are relevant to the IDEA Lab facility. Hence, there is industry participation right from the beginning of ideation
Students learn how to work in a multidisciplinary team, since the team is comprised of members from different branches
Ensures the participants actively plan the usage of advanced tools (such as 3D printers, laser cutters, or development boards) for their prototypes
Directly satisfies the mandatory mandate of organizing student-centric ideation and skilling workshops under the IDEA Lab scheme
